Scouts at Summer Camp

What are we about

Troop-36 is a boy led troop.  Scouts plan, organize and carry out their meetings. The Scoutmaster and the Assistant Scoutmaster provide guidance and support for the boys to succeed.

Scouts learn new skills at our meetings while having fun. Camp cooking, first aid, scoutcraft, wilderness survival are just a few of the fun topics.

Allowing the Scouts to plan and conduct their meetings enable them to develop valuable leadership and organizational skills.

Hiking at Twin Lakes

Hiking and Camping

The outdoors program is the highlight of Scouting,  Our troop is known for its camping and hiking adventures from overnight excursions to multi-day 50+ mile treks.

At our troop the scouts learn how to be mindful of the outdoors and how to prepare for a successful and safe outing by learning outdoor etiquette, first aid, wilderness survival, and planning.

“”On my honor” – what an ennobling phrase! Three short words, nine letters, but the summation of all we call character.”

ABOUT US

Troop 36

About our Troop

The troop was first chartered in 1982 and is celebrates over 30 years of continued existence. Troop-36 is part of the “Pilchuck” district of the Mount Baker Council and is sponsored by “Calvary Chapel” of Lake Stevens.

The troop’s program maintains traditional Scouting principles while placing a special emphasis on high adventure and fun outdoor activities. As the boys learn skills and values in this context, they become self-reliant, resourceful and inquisitive.

The tenets of Scouting and our exceptional program help build character, foster citizenship and develop personal responsibility through service, community engagement and leadership development. Youth 11-17 years old lead their own activities and work their way towards earning Scouting’s highest rank, Eagle Scout.

We meet on Monday nights from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at  the “Upper Room” at Calvary Chapel”, 9428 4th Street SE. Lake Stevens, WA.
